What does the HOA Board of Directors do?
The main responsibilities for board members include: managing budgets/fiscal responsibilities, the selection of contractors to maintain the property, and enforcing/complying with governing documents. Your HOA board members are homeowners in your neighborhood. They are volunteers the community votes in to serve on the HOA whom share the common goals and interest of the community to maintain the neighborhood and property values. Directors are elected to two-year terms by the association membership of townhome owners.
Roles of the individual officers are elected by the board annually.
Regular meetings are held on the third Monday of every other month. Official meeting notices are posted on the cork board outside of the clubhouse, near the side door. Owners are also emailed notice of board meetings date and times by the property manager.
